The trick to remaining pain free through winter
When the weather suddenly becomes colder, for many people, their favourite exercise or activity becomes that little bit more uncomfortable. It is easy to start putting it off, and days turn in to weeks and months between activities.
Regular exercise is one of the most important ways you can reduce the risk of back pain, shoulder pain and knee pain
Don't fall into the trap of letting you exercise routine slip through the winter months.
- If running and walking are your thing, you can consider a treadmill, gym membership, or some warm performance clothes.
- If outdoor swimming is your thing, consider a wetsuit, or changing to an indoor pool.
- If cycling in the rain doesn't appeal to you, consider an indoor trainer or spin class.
Many people use this time of year to try a different (indoor) type of exercise.
